Machination

The Massively Multiplayer market, once a majestic monument to magic and mystery, now waxes mundane, immobilized under a most mediocre monopoly and the mimetic myriad of imitators. Those who meander the murky marshes of monotonous material find instead a mechanical mood of melancholy. But melodramatic monologue aside, I am but a mere maverick, lending a metaphoric machete to the mental molasses so that we may together master this monster en masse.

I am a software engineer, machine learning researcher, dreamer of dreams, and schemer of schemes. I like to focus less about the (many) problems that the Massively Multiplayer Game Industry faces, but more about the interesting solutions to them. My special area of interest is interactive digital storytelling, particularly in a multiplayer setting.

  1. Hey man, I just stumbled upon your blog while doing research for mine. I was in school to become a game artist. I too tend to get a little technical, or rather I have in the past.

    • Well a fine place of stumbling this is. My wife is actually studying illustration/concept art and so I’ve heard quite a bit of the difficulties and joys that accompany such an awesome pursuit.
